Astral projection, The Astral Body and The Fourth Dimension
Almost all schools of occult philosophy speak of the fourth dimension and of the astral body and in speaking of them, they find that there is a well defined principle or practice by which one may determine the existence of that astral body and fourth dimension. We speak of our world as being three dimensional, but the occultist knows that height, depth and width each, when extended, form another plane or dimension, on which or in which the ego or consciousness can function.
We are told the fourth dimension, or astral plane, is separated from the third dimension by an octave of vibration; that it exists entirely relative to the material world, but that it vibrates at an intensity of vibration which makes it impossible for us to perceive of its existence with the material senses.
There are certain limitations that restrain man from passing from the physical body into the state of projection. They can be overcome. They are found to be the limitations of man’s own consciousness. The projection of the consciousness to the fourth dimension is one of the student’s greatest aids to occult development and spiritual growth.
